About
Hi! My name is Wren, and I’m a Pittsburgh-native amateur astrophotographer. Nights of Wren is a personal site I’m creating as a platform to share my photos with others. My primary interest is in deep-sky astrophotography, which means I mostly take pictures of very distant things light-years away as opposed to planets or other things in the solar system. The category of deep-sky objects includes a wide variety: ancient clusters of stars in orbit around the Milky Way, glowing oceans of turbulent star-forming hydrogen, remnants of dead or dying stars, galaxies far far away, and more.
My current collection of equipment is as follows:
- Cameras: Atik 383L+ Mono, ZWO ASI120MM Mini
- Filters: Baader 36mm LRGB + 7nm SHO in an Atik EFW2
- Telescopes: GSO 6" F/4 Newtonian, Svbony SV165 Guide Scope
- Mount: Celestron Advanced VX
- Lenses: GSO Coma Corrector, Tele-Vue 1.25" 2x Barlow
- Misc: ZWO EAF 5v, Raspberry Pi
